Roof Replacement by Clare Home Improvement

Replacing a roof in Orange County, New York is no joke. Two-foot snow falls and heavy, wet snow buildup puts your roof to the test every winter and spring. Behind your perfectly colored shingles is a whole roofing system that, when installed correctly, will protect your house top to bottom from a home's worst enemy - moisture.

Clare Home Improvement has decades of roofing experience. From the moment we arrive to quote a price for your project, we'll be examining your home's roof system to find current and potential trouble spots.

Proper underlayment and flashing is key to roofing that will last. In Orange County, ice dams are a major cause of water intrusion around the home. Left uncorrected, a small moisture issue can turn into a big problem over time. That's why we use ice and water shield everyplace on your roof that is susceptible to the freeze/thaw cycle.

Replacing your roof is a big project and a big investment, and one you should only have to make once. While our prices are not lowball, you'll find they are fair and easy to understand. We encourage you to get roofing estimates from two other roofing contractors in order to see how simple and straightforward our roofing service is.

In addition to an easy to understand, all inclusive quote, we'll provide names and phone numbers of previous clients. Please give our references a call and ask about everything from the roofing crew's manners to the owner's management style. It will help you envision the process of transforming your home for the better.

Five Gable Roof Replacement

This was a big roofing job. Multiple layers of shingles, years of tar patching, and inadequate flashing was letting the water in and threatening the structure with potential rot and mold.

The new owners of this neglected and leaking home called nine roofing contractors for estimates. Four of those contractors came to look at the site, and only 3 of those contractors were willing to provide roofing quotes.

The weight of multiple layers of asphalt shingles over many decades were stressing the home's structure. We generally estimate a roof tear off to weigh about 200 pounds per square. The torn off roofing material from this home weighed in at the roofing disposal site at over 13 tons!

We estimated that this job would take 6 days. Even with one day of rain/snow mix, the roof and cleanup was finished in 4 days, and the dumpster was gone on the 5th day.
